By the end of quarter 3, all 5 students in my SPED class for Reading will be able to write 7 sentences with 100%, and each sentence will contain 2 or fewer grammatical, spelling, or punctuation errors in 4 of 6 trials.

Goal Attainment Scale

• Midpoint: I do small group and one-on-one writing instruction with the students in my class. The students know what to do in conversation, but they struggle with application. Additionally, the students will forget from day to day what has been previously taught. My 8th grade students are working on the basics of sentence writing. It is not due to not trying, but they are struggling with basic skills, handwriting, vocabulary, etc. I have one student that does speech to text; thus, it is very difficult to see what he needs for success. The ideas are there for the students, but it is the grammatical and conventional level for the students. The students are vastly different on their skill levels.
