As my students’ needs are evidently different as shown through their samples and each of their IEPs, my goal of them will be for them to be able to: create a sample of their skill level demonstrating correct punctuating and capitalization 70% of the time.

• Midpoint: Daily writing journal prompts. Students are required to write 5 sentences for the journal prompts. They are required to use correct capitalization and punctuation. The class has a word of the day, and they are encouraged to use it in their writing. This is a special ed classroom and their writing goals are varied. For example, one student dictates as they are unable to read and write.
